B. CRAZY QUILT SCENE VEST

This is a favorite. Create an unusual fabric scene which spills over the yokes and back
section of the vest. By using fancy fabrics and Victorian stitches, you can create your own
art garment. Can be quilted and beaded for extra detail. Come to class with linings, fronts
and back cut out. Use a pattern that fits well. Bring left over fabrics for crazy quilting
landscape scene. Page 102, 103 Art and Inspiration.

• 1 1/3 yds. fancy fabric for

back and fronts, in solid

colour, (cut out)
• 1/3 yd. Sky fabric
• 1 1/3 yds. fabric for lining

(cut out)
• Scraps of fancy fabrics

(mix of texture, solids, and

patterns) for scene
• 1/2 yd. Muslin base

• 1/3 yd. sky blue fabric
• Variety of ribbons

3/8" - 1/2" wide
• 4 closure buttons
• Beads, Nymo thread

10 sharps needle
• Variety 4mm silk ribbon
• Lace scraps; buttons
• Yarns and unusual threads
