B. EMBELLISHED PUNCH NEEDLE FLORAL6 HOURS

Create an unusual floral piece that uses punch needle embroidery, crazy quilt stitches, beads and buttons. The morning is devoted to punch needle and the afternoon to creating flowers with beading, free-form embroidery stitches and buttons. Page 66 Art and Inspiration.

SUPPLIES (Please refer to the basic supplies list also.)

• 5 “ Embroidery hoop • Floss - Five greens, blue, dk blue, maroon, rose, fuchsia, peach, gold, rust, dk brown. • 12" square of even weave fabric such as moire, silk or satin • Metallic threads; gold, silver • Variety of beads

• Sharp embroidery scissors • Large 6-strand punch needle • Medium 3-strand punch needle • Fine 1 strand punch needle • Bring some silk threads • Variety embroidery threads • 4mm-silk ribbon floral colors • Small buttons
