C. AUSTRALIAN MERMAID

Katheryn and Judith of Adelaide create beautiful little bread dough mermaids, and Iíve used one to create a small collage of seashells, seed pearls, silk ribbon embroidery and beads. Framed in a Victorian frame, it makes a charming gift. The finished piece is 6 inches by 5 inches. It can be seen in my new card line as well as in the Arts and Inspirations book. This design could also be incorporated into a much larger design. Page 91 Art and Inspiration.

SUPPLIES (Please refer to the basic supplies list also.)

• 1 mermaid (will supply)
• Fresh water pearls
• Metallic variegated thread
• 10” square of Pellon fleece
• 10” x 12” matte with a 5” x 7”
• oval cut-out
• 4mm silk ribbon - 4 greens

and 10 floral colours

• 4” embroidery hoop
• Tiny sea shells with holes
• 10” square drapery
