F. UNDERWATER FANTASY

2 DAYS to 5 DAYS

Create an underwater fantasy using dyed fabric for background and adding
embellishments in ribbon, embroidery stitches and collage techniques. The two-day class
is great for those new to free-form embroidery. The 5-day class is larger and more
detailed. Pg 145 Elegant Stitches: pg 161 Floral Stitches.
(Note: Students must bring a matt for this class.)

Two-Day Class: 7" x 14" project		Five Day Class: work in 10" x 17" or 12" x 20"

		Day Four	a. Creating coral beds b. Working in the foreground with embellishments

SUPPLIES - Both classes... (Please refer to the basic supplies list also.)

• Variety of fabrics for seabed and coral reefs.
• Background Fabric: Marbleized or dyed to look like water (choose size)
• Variety of tulle, organza, netting, and cheese cloth
• Organza ribbons, variety
• 4mm & 7mm silk ribbon, variegates
• three- 2" wire ribbon
• threads, yarns, (look like seaweed)
• Metallic threads, Variety
• Nymo beading thread, beads, #10 sharps needle
• Crystals, stones, seashells (with holes)
• Buttons, pearls, doodads
• Punch needle, small, med, large (optional)
• Variety needles
• Teacher will provide paints, brushes. (not overseas)

Two Day Class....

• Art Matte; 7" x14" opening (Must bring to class)

Five Day Class....

11" x 18" or 13" x 21"
