2 DAYS to 5 DAYS FINE ART SEMINAR

Create underwater fantasies using dyed fabric for background and embellishments in ribbon, embroidery stitches and collage techniques. The 2-day class is for those new to free-form embroidery.
The 5-day class is larger and more detailed..

Two-Day Class: 7" x 11" project		Five Day Class: work in 10" x 17" or 12" x 20"

Day Two	a. Adding fabric coral bed b. Embroidery seaweed, texture c. Embellishment techniques	Day Two	a. Laying down backgound netting and sheers b. Working in the mid- ground c. Creating seaweed
		Day Three	a. Embroidery and silk ribbon work
		Day Four	a. Creating coral beds b. Working in the foreground with embellishments

SUPPLIES - for Underwater Fantasy
Both classes... (Please refer to the basic supplies list also.)

• Variety of fabrics for seabed and coral reefs. Brights, soilds, mottled..
• Background Fabric: dyed to look like water (choose size) and muslin base.
• Variety - tulle, organza, netting, and cheese cloth
• Variety - Organza ribbons. 3- 1/2 yd. - 2” wire ribbons
• Variety - 4mm & 7mm silk ribbon - solid, variegates
• Variety – embroidery threads, yarns that look like seaweed.
• Variety - Metallic threads
• Nymo beading thread, beads, #10 sharps needle
• Crystals, stones, seashells (with holes) Buttons, pearls, doodads
• Variety – needles – sharps, embroidery, tapestry, chenille, darner.
• Teacher will provide paints, brushes. (not overseas)

Two Day Class....
• Background Fabric and muslin base fabric - 8" x12"
• Art Matte; 7" x11" opening. Must bring to class.

Five Day Class....
• Background Fabric and muslin base fabric - choose 11" x 18" or 13" x 21"
• Art matte; 10" x 17" or 12" x 20" opening. Must bring to class.
