B. PAINTING WITH FABRICS - Sea or Land 2 DAYS

Create a work of art using burned and wrinkled fabrics, smocking, a variety of fabrics and threads. Bring your favorite photo or scene to be made into a Crazy Quilt Landscape or Seascape. Picture can be 14” x 20” (no larger). Page 148, 158 Elegant Stitches, Page 103 Silk Ribbon Embroidery.

SUPPLIES (Please refer to the basic supplies list also.)

• Variety of fabrics in many prints, solids and textures – one piece sky blue • Yarns, ribbons – various widths and types • Embroidery threads and silk button hole twist. Variegates are best • 1/2 yard muslin for base • 6" Embroidery Hoop • Sewing machine • Matt to frame the piece with inside opening the size of your artpiece. Must Bring!

• tracing paper, 1 sheet sketch paper • Variety of needles • Variety of organza, netting and tulle and cheese cloth • Iron-on-Pellon • Variety of beads, buttons, doodads • Nymo beading thread • Tacky glue, watercolor pencils • Judith will bring paints and brushes (not overseas) • Punch needles ...optional • Variety of laces
